Tribune staff reporter Patrick Reardon’s gut-wrenching expose on the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy has me convinced we’re psychic twins (“Elves, hobbits and–wake me when it’s over; What’s all this excitement about `Rings’?” Tempo, Jan. 9). I spent much of the three hours of the film contemplating how I might creatively ditch my date and sneak a peek at a quality movie elsewhere in the cineplex.
Reading Reardon’s piece, I laughed (and cried) so hard that I had to apologize to those around me on the train.
