We recently took an out-of-town friend to see our longtime favorite show, Blue Man Group. At show’s end, removing his splashguard poncho, he looked around quizzically.
“What do they do with all that tissue paper when they’re done with it?” he asked.
Out of respect for those of you who haven’t seen the show, we won’t go into t.p. details (though we have to wonder what your deal is). Suffice it to say a heap o’ t.p. is involved in this famed performance art.
But as a curious and caring host, we went on a paper chase and turned to Nick Harkin, Blue Man Group’s Chicago spokesman, for answers.
“It’s recycled paper to begin with,” Harkin said. “Then they ship off bags and bags of it and recycle it again.”
We feel better. More importantly, our pal feels better. Good to know nothing goes to waste.
