Edwin A. Koziol, 82, of Leawood, KS passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2003. A family service will be held in Chicago. Ed was born in Chicago, attended Weber High School, and earned his Chemical Engineering degree at Illinois Institute of Technology, and his MBA from Northwestern University. Ed served as a Lieutenant in the Navy during WW II and retired from ADM Paniplus after a successful career in chemical engineering and management. He enjoyed his family, polkas, cookbooks, reading and memories of New Orleans. Ed will be missed by his wife, Joan Koziol; their children, Janice Koziol, Barbara Koziol, Lynda (Joe) Zitka, Ken (Irma) Koziol; and grandchildren, Ian and Brooke Dennin, Kelly and Joey Zitka; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sisters, Lillian Koziol and Virginia (Steve) Suvada; and predeceased by his parents, and sister, Irene Koziol. We ask that you remember Ed, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, in your prayers. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Stroke Foundation, 8700 Lamar, Overland Park, KS 66207 may be made in his honor.
