Glenn W. Aument, age 87, of Palatine, IL, born September 13, 1915 in DeKalb, IL, died Saturday, January 18, 2003 at Lutheran Village, Columbus, OH. Prior to the retirement of Mr. Aument, he worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a food and equipment inspector in Chicago and Washington, DC. WW II Army Veteran who fought in the Pacific Theater. Survivors include a son, Bruce (Pamela) Aument of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Geoffrey and Natalie Aument; and sister-in-law, Stella Aument. Preceded in death by his wife, Astrid Marie Aument, nee Frostholm in January of 2002; seven sisters, Helen, Gladys, Dorothy, Blanche, Rowena, Ethel and Thelma; six brothers, Harry Jr., John, Charles, Donald, Edwin and Wayne. Visitation at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, Palatine on Friday, January 24, 2003 between 4 and 9 p.m., and at Christ Lutheran Church, 41 S. Rohlwing Rd., Palatine on Saturday, January 25, 2003 between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at Christ Lutheran Church, Palatine.
