The newest threat to female health is an alarming discovery afflicting women with bad fashion sense everywhere.

Tight, low-rise pants may pinch a nerve located at the hip, causing pain, tingling and possibly permanent numbness.

According to a Canadian doctor, several of his female patients between ages 22 and 35 reported burning and numbness in their thighs. He discovered that all three women, who were overweight, wore tight hip-huggers.

Backpacks and seat belts also cause the uncommon condition, meralgia paresthetica.

The treatment? Stop wearing those pants, dear.

But you knew that already.
