Anthony Vecchiollo Sr. The family respectfully invites you to attend services for Mr. Vecchiollo Sr. Visitation will be held at Geils Funeral Home, Wood Dale, on Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Mass at Holy Ghost Parish in Wood Dale, followed by prayers and interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. He was the devoted husband, partner and soulmate of the late Virginia “Gin” Vecchiollo; an adored father by his children, Debra (Marc) Shakin, Anthony Jr. (Linda) Vecchiollo and his charming Weimaraner, “Sammy”; a cherished grandfather to Nicholas, Austin, Leah and Dena; the beloved son of the late Helen, nee Fabiano, and Bernard Vecchiollo; the beloved brother of Arlene (Gabby) Livorsi; dear uncle to Michael Schultze Jr., Salvatore, Leonard, Steve and Michael Livorsi. An extremely warmhearted and giving gentleman to all of us that he shared his life with. He was a free, wild, independent spirit who believed “that this too shall pass and life will go on”. His ability to listen, his belief in the importance of his family and friends, the kindness he bestowed daily, his ability to charm everyone with his easygoing personality and most of all his generous heart were only a few of the gifts he shared with us. Although he may have departed this life suddenly on Jan. 19, he will be yearned for always and forever. The strength of his love was the greatest gift he has left all of us with.
