Bernhard Gordon passed away Jan. 21, 2003 at his home in Exeter, CA. Born May 14, 1908 to Dr. Louis and Lena Gordon in Chicago. He entered the University of Chicago at age 16 playing on the NCAA championship water polo team. He married Eleanor Weil, 1931 in Chicago, together they raised two children James and Susan. After 62 years Eleanor passed away in 1993. He remained in Chicago until 1999 when moving to Exeter. He had owned the Gordon Burke Steel Company in Chicago. Survivors include his son James Gordon of Exeter; brother Dr. David Gordon of Livermore, CA and sister Miriam Rich of Los Angeles; five grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
