Robert D. Lindstrom, 80, formerly of South Holland, died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2003 in Willows on Main after a long illness. Born June 4, 1922 in Chicago, IL, son of Albin and Pauline Lindstrom. Married to Ann B. Butkus in Chicago January 18, 1947. Employed at International Harvester for 41 years before retiring. Army veteran of WWII. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. Survivors include wife Ann B. Lindstrom of Machesney Park; children Robert (Nina) Lindstrom of Steger, Patricia (Jeff) Felski of Griffith, IN, Ronald (Patricia) Lindstrom of Monee, Donald (Rita) Lindstrom of Belvidere, Matt (Brenda) Lindstrom of Roscoe; 16 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Marge Horvath of Milwaukee, WI and Dolores (Ed) Chismar of Lansing; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; and three brothers, Harold, Don, and Edwin. Services at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2003 in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd. with Dr. William Richard Kerr Sr., pastor of Riverside Community Church officiating. Visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
