If Kathleen Parker believes that taking responsibility for one’s own sexual behavior and its consequences constitutes the “gelding of the American male,” then here’s a concept even the most conservative, right-wing Christian should be able to get his or her head around:
Personal moral behavior.
If a man chooses to have sex with a woman outside of marriage, he risks disease, disgrace, the consequences of unwanted pregnancy, the possibility of personal deceit by his partner, the negative consequences of the law and the ruin of his life plans and his reputation, just as women have for thousands of years.
So now men have to stop and consider the personal risks of recreational sex.
Well isn’t it about time?
