Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

As one who is a bit overweight, I know how I got there. It is truly amazing to me to read stories and listen to TV or radio programs and hear the people say they can’t keep the weight off or show ignorance as to how they became overweight. In most cases, the culprits to overweight are your own hands, shoveling the Big Macs, Oreos, Doritos, Krispy Kremes, beers, pizzas and every other food item that is chock full of fats, calories, sugar and sodium into your mouth.

The alternative is to lay your hands on less food but also food that is good for you, such as vegetables, fruits, lean meats and fish.

In the past two weeks, I have lost 3.5 pounds by watching carefully my portion size as well as eating healthier foods and getting exercise. A tip on exercise is that you don’t have to go to a health club. If you just bundle up and walk for a couple of miles in your neighborhood, that would be just as beneficial and cheaper.
