New Orleans Hornets guard Baron Davis will undergo arthroscopic surgery to repair torn cartilage in his left knee.

Davis injured the knee during the third quarter of Friday night’s 97-96 overtime loss to Portland. The team said it wouldn’t know how long Davis will be out until Monday.

Davis has averaged 16.8 points and 6.9 assists in 36 games this season. He missed eight games earlier in the season because of back spasms.

Hunter out 10 days

Toronto Raptors guard Lindsey Hunter is expected to be sidelined up to 10 days because of a sore lower back.

Hunter is averaging 9.7 points and 2.4 assists in 29 games.

Vince Carter is expected to return to the lineup Sunday against the Sacramento Kings after missing 23 games with a strained right knee. Carter received medical clearance Friday.

The Raptors have lost five straight and 21 of their last 24.
