Matilda M. Holcombe, nee Malone, beloved wife of the late Dr. R. Nowlin Holcombe; daughter of the late Pierce and Matilda Shelton Malone; dear sister of the late Frances, Ann, Jen, Eileen and Pierce Malone Jr.; survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Holcombe served as a Captain in the Women’s Army Corps in World War II. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Abbey Harbor Funeral Service, 206 W.
