Evelyn Munves, nee Freedman, loving daughter of the late Mollie Freedman; loving wife of the late Joseph Munves; devoted and caring sister of the late Jeanette (the late Oscar) Bender, Irving Freedman and Pearl (the late Al) Grant. Evelyn was the most loving, caring, devoted and generous aunt to her niece, the late Temma Bender Abrams and Temma’s children, Elyse (Bruce) Flack, Karen (Dr. Robert) Bressman and Melanie (Perry) Karsen, as well as their children, Evelyn’s eight great-great nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a member of the Chicago Federation of Musicians for 72 years since 1928. She played for a lifetime with the Lyric Opera and the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra. Anyone who heard her play was touched by her life and talent. Her nieces and nephews will miss her. Services Wednesday, 11 a.m. at The Piser Chapel, 5206 N. Broadway, Chicago.
