Harriet E. Carlson, resident of Lombard, formerly of Wilmette and Northfield; dear daughter of the late Conrad and the late Eunice Hokanson Carlson Anderson, and stepdaughter of Victor Anderson. She was a freelance writer and a group copy director in the world of advertising. She later formed her own small newspaper syndicate supplying material for womens pages. As a freelance writer her work has appeared in more than 40 publications here and abroad. She later became a member of the National League of American Pen Women in 1962 and held numerous positions on the National and Chicago Branch levels. She had worked at Tatham Laird Advertising for some years, and earlier at Carson Pirie Scott and also Marshall Field & Co. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Salvation Army, 5040 N. Pulaski Rd., Chicago 60630 appreciated. Interment Rosehill Cemetery. Info 630-932-1500.
