Cedrick Banks scored 33 points and Aaron Carr had 22 to lead the University of Illinois at Chicago to an 89-76 victory over Wright State on Wednesday night. Banks was 13-of-18 from the field, including 5-of-5 from beyond the arc.

Vernard Hollins had 25 points and Seth Doliboa 22 for Wright State (7-11, 1-7 Horizon League).

UIC (13-5, 7-2) never trailed, taking control for good with a 15-2 run after being tied at 5, and led 42-29 at halftime. Banks accounted for 10 points during that run.

Both teams shot well–59 percent from the field for Illinois-Chicago and 52 percent for Wright State–but UIC was better from long range, converting 12-of-16 3-pointers while the Raiders were 5-of-21.
