The Feb. 18 editorial “Sis Daley’s unfailing grace” proposed an inspired idea: to name Chicago’s treasured Cultural Center the Eleanor “Sis” Daley Cultural Center.

Her efforts saved the elegant building when it was in danger of being destroyed. Her spirit, values and steadfast family devotion enriched our community.

What better way to commemorate her generous spirit than to unite our Cultural Center with her name? It’s altogether fitting and proper–just like her life’s example for all Chicagoans.
