Kurt Emig, 80, of Hammond, IN, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Candy “Sis” (Garry Kostyo) Emig of Griffith, IN; three grandchildren, Derek, Christopher, and Lindsey Emig; preceded in death by his wife, Sally, and son, Brett. Funeral services Saturday, March 1, 2003 at 1 p.m. from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Pastor Scott D. Bruick officiating. Burial, Concordia Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Visitation Friday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Please omit flowers. Mr. Emig was a resident of this area for 50 years, a retired sales representative for Amana Corp., a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Munster, IN, the Senior Citizens at the church and was an Army Veteran of WW2.
