Schools: Public schools in Chicago and many suburbs will be closed.
Government offices: All city and county offices will be closed. Federal and state offices will be open.
Postal service: Regular mail delivery.
Courts: Federal courts will be open. Illinois Appellate Courts, Supreme Court and county courts will be closed, except for Cook County Holiday Court.
Banks: Will be open.
Financial markets: Will be open.
Parking: Meters must be fed.
Transit: CTA, Pace and Metra will run on normal weekday schedules.
Waste pickup: Trash normally collected on Mondays in Chicago will be picked up on Tuesday this week.
