Gertrude Stitz, born in Berlin, Germany, to Karl and Anna, nee Kretzshmar Teiwes; loving wife to the late Fred Knoedler and to the late Gene Stitz; dearest mother to Grace Skadow and Mary Ann Walther; grandmother to six; and great-grandmother to seven. She resided in Chicago for over 50 years after moving from Berlin when she was 16. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2003 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock, IL. She was 91.
