Those who “count” may not think Ron Santo is a Hall-of-Famer.
But what many of us know about Santo from following him over the years is that there’s no doubt he is a Hall-of-Famer, even if he had never played baseball (“Call doesn’t go Santo’s way; Ex-Cub finishes 3rd, but no new members added,” Sports, Feb. 27).
That’s the most important thing of all.
