This is in regard to all the groups against SUV owners. Everyone thinks you are a soccer mom, are selfish about the environment, waste gas needlessly and want to be Rambo climbing up the first mountain you see.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
I’m a middle-age, married woman whose son has been on his own for a while. I have a bad back due to an injury.
My aging, sickly mother lives with us, so I need space for her wheelchair as well as other supplies, and it’s also more comfortable for her.
When my husband and I went out looking at SUVs last year, we bought one with a smaller engine that would be more fuel-efficient and safer for the environment.
And, yes, we do like driving vacations. But I don’t see us climbing a mountain in the near future.
