The toys that put a smile on your face as a kid could do it again this week–by putting money in your wallet. The Toy Roadshow, held by the International Toy Collectors Association, is coming to Waukegan this week in search of those rare collectibles. What it’s like: At the show, people bring in old toys, and the association buys them on behalf of its 5,400 members, who submit bids for specific toys beforehand. The details: Association President Jeff Parsons said 80 percent of toys that are brought in are sold, with a typical transaction around $100.
