This is in response to Steve Sheffey’s March 4 letter to the editor, “Birthday burdens,” about goodie bags at children’s birthday parties. I wish I had his problem. My children have been invited to a barrage of parties at Chuck E. Cheese’s, My Gym, Morkes Candy and Elk Grove Aquatic Center, to name a few. The two most over-the-top invitations have been a tea party at the Lincolnshire Marriott and going to the theater to see “Cinderella”!
What happened to birthday parties at home?
