– MOSA Sports is recalling about 1,250 Five 40 bicycle helmets. These helmets failed Consumer Product Safety Commission impact testing, so riders wearing them are not adequately protected from head injuries in falls. The Five 40 helmets are black, white or red and have the name “Five 40” printed on the front and back. A label in the helmet reads “990803” along with the model name “540.” Consumers should stop using these helmets immediately and return them to the store where purchased or MOSA Sports for a refund or free replacement. Call MOSA Sports at 800-804-0211 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Central time Monday through Friday.
