Meteorite hunters braved rain Friday to scour Park Forest and elsewhere for the valuable rocks while authorities urged residents to resist offers of quick cash for fragments that fell from the sky this week in a spectacular flash of light.
Rain is complicating the search for more rocks. Those in yards and gardens could be lost forever once rain erases the marks they made on impact.
