John Joseph Marich, died March 23, 2003, born in Chicago, IL. He served in the U.S. Airforce and Reserves from 1950 until 1957. He was owner of J. Marich & Sons, Inc. and Insituform Midwest, Inc. He was a member and served as a director of the Underground Contractors Association, director of the Sara-Tee Chapter of the United Ostomy Association, and active volunteer for Sarasota and Bradenton Lighthouse for the Blind. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Geraldine; daughters, Lynda (George) Sherko, and Sandra Marich; son, John (Claire) Marich; sister, Dorothy (Art) Anhalt; brother, George Marich; and six grandchildren. Memorials can be sent to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238. A memorial service will be held at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Bradenton, FL on April 5.
