I have been a big fan of the Tribune’s “On the Outdoors” column for years. Lew Freedman is always an interesting read. I would like to comment on Freedman’s “Aiming for cats, finding elephant” article. I do not oppose hunting. I have even hunted myself. Killing rare or endangered animals like elephants, lions or leopards just for fun, however, is wrong–no matter how it’s written.
