Akio Toyoda, grandson of Toyota Motor Corp. founder Kiichiro Toyoda, will become one of 14 senior managing directors of the company in a management system set to take effect in June. Toyoda, 46, is also the eldest son of Toyota honorary chairman Shoichiro Toyoda, and it is widely believed that he will one day lead the company.
