Andy McCullough caught a 37-yard touchdown pass from Jim Kubiak in overtime as the Dallas Desperados beat the Rush 60-54 Sunday in the Arena Football League at Allstate Arena.
The Rush’s Lindsay Fleshman fumbled at Dallas’ 1-yard line on the first drive of overtime.
“We didn’t make the plays down the stretch,” Rush coach Mike Hohensee said. “Penalties and turnovers hurt us.”
Three fumbles and 12 penalties for 66 yards plagued the Rush.
Billy Dicken threw for 204 yards and five touchdowns for the Rush (5-7). Antonio Chatman caught four TD passes. Kubiak was 18-of-33 for 250 yards and five TDs for Dallas (7-5). McCullough caught eight passes for 115 yards.
