“American Idol’s” nasty Simon Cowell will play himself on “The Simpsons,” Ananova.com reports.
Well, almost. The king of cruel will play an admissions officer at a nursery school where the Simpsons are trying to enroll Maggie–and where Simon treats toddlers to the same withering putdowns as “Idol” hopefuls.
“I think he would be hilarious,” said “Simpsons” executive producer Al Jean. “There’s a history in American television of people we love to hate–fun villains such as J.R. Ewing in ‘Dallas’–and Simon’s a similar sort of character.” No word on the air date.
