You’ve heard about the new technology that creates rental DVDs that don’t have to be returned because they become unplayable after two days.
In August, Walt Disney’s Buena Vista Home Entertainment will introduce a pilot “rental” program that uses the self-destruction technology. The company did not disclose pricing plans for the EZ-D discs, but said recent releases such as “The Recruit,” “The Hot Chick,” and “Signs” would be available in the format.
