In Baltimore, the voting age is 16–for now. When the city’s mayoral general election was moved back a year, the primary date was overlooked. Because Maryland law allows residents to vote in a primary if they reach 18 by the general election, thousands of 16-year-olds will be eligible to vote in the Sept. 9 primary.
