Columnist Dennis Byrne’s “What abortion-rights proponents don’t want you to know” (Commentary, June9), which presented graphic anatomical details of a hypothetical abortion, is a rehashing, ad nauseam, of material presented by militant anti-abortionist groups. This is not, however, what I enjoy reading over my ham and eggs; nor would I enjoy reading graphic details of how hogs, steers or lambs are killed and butchered before they reach my table, or details of Grandpa’s hemorrhoid operation, all of which are also legal procedures.
