One of the many great things about baseball at Wrigley Field is that, unlike other ballparks, it hasn’t been polluted by the presence of a lot of annoying billboards. The fact that Fox and ESPN felt it necessary to put a blemish on one of the great weekends in Chicago baseball history by putting an electronic billboard behind the catcher shows what little regard they have for the game.

I applaud the Cubs’ organization for first refusing the request. I am disappointed, once again, by Major League Baseball for asking them to allow it.
