Muriel D. Phipps, 74, of Plano, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich. She was born on November 29, 1928 in Newton-Le-Willows, England, the daughter of James and Charlotte, nee Whitehead, Cuthbertson. She married Robert Phipps on April 26, 1952 in Newton-Le-Willows, England. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial will be private. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were entrusted to the Turner Funeral Home in Plano, IL. She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Diana (Arthur) Mercier, and Wendy Phipps; one son, Robert (Tiffany) Phipps; four grandchildren; two sisters in England; and one brother in Canada; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother.
