I am quite disturbed by this “Go Ask Alice.” (“Can taking the pill cause a miscarriage?” June 19.) It is fine to answer the question and educate what birth control does and the side effects that can happen if the pill is taken during a pregnancy. But in today’s world you have children having babies, and Alice decides to say, “On the other hand, specific medications, but not birth control pills, can end a pregnancy [and lists specific names.]”

Don’t you think it would have been wiser to say, “There are methods, please consult your doctor.” Instead you have put two names of different drugs in the article for people [young girls] to see.”
