More than 2,500 women, age 12 to 72, are expected to raise more than $10,000 Sunday when they participate in the first Reebok Women’s Triathlon Series in downtown Naperville. Capri Events, based in Chicago, and Reebok created a series of triathlons throughout the country to benefit ovarian cancer research. Athletes will jump in the water at Centennial Beach at 7 a.m. Once they’ve finished swimming, biking and running, they’ll join in an awards ceremony and party in Riverfront Park.
