I hereby nominate John McCarron to spearhead the Democratic campaign to assure the defeat of President Bush. McCarron states the case against another four years of Bush clearly and courageously. And I must give credit to the Tribune’s editorial staff for printing McCarron’s and Molly Ivins’ columns. Their forthright, fair and accurate criticism of the current administration should be emulated by every Democratic politician, on the stump or not.
