I would like to commend John McCarron for an excellent column in the July 4 paper.
The one thing that concerns me the most in this country is the seeming lack of interest by our citizens in critical analysis of the policies of the Bush administration.
So-called patriotism and fear seem to be more important than honest discussion of the real issues.
