I am sunburned, full and very happy to have been among the throngs of people who attended this year’s Taste of Chicago. My diet was put on hold while I devoured a sherbet-filled rice cake, a falafel, a fiery alligator, crab legs, a chicken-filled banana and cheesecake.
Eating while walking takes some maneuvering and practice, although I was able to dine on those ingenious parking meter tables.
As always, the July 3 fireworks were spectacular. And while I saw a few intoxicated morons, the crowd was, for the most part, very well-behaved.
Now if you will excuse me, I am going to take a nap and let all of that great food and fun digest.
