– Pioneer is recalling nearly 50,000 car amplifiers because they may overheat and smoke during use. The move affects amplifier models GM-X572, GM-X574, GM-X972 and GM-D500M, which have been on the market since November. Pioneer says it is unaware of any injury or damage caused by the amplifiers.
