The story: McLeod bought two 81-game season tickets to ensure she could take her Mom, a former Chicagoan, to the game for her 75th birthday. She donated all the regular-season tickets to the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago.

The story: Bought the tickets on eBay. The woman who sold the tickets had won them in the White Sox lottery and paid $620 for the two tickets.

The story: Won the right to buy four tickets after sending in 200 postcards to the White Sox lottery offering limited tickets to the public.

The story: Received their tickets from their son, Kansas City All-Star pitcher Mike MacDougal, who gave Tom and Dottie his two free tickets and paid for 11 others for friends.
