This is regarding recent articles speaking of low soldier morale and “Grumbling in the ranks” (Editorial, July 18). I feel for these soldiers not only because they were, perhaps, misled or ill-informed regarding the post-war efforts, but because the “war hero” sentiment won’t be as strong as it was when the first troops arrived back home.

The soldiers can’t believe the war isn’t over–and we fail to realize it’s still going on. Where are all the protestors? Did they stop yelling once the cameras stopped?
