Regarding Aaron McGruder’s “The Boondocks” comic strip criticizing President Bush’s “bring ’em on” quote, Don Wycliff writes: “Lampooning Bush is legitimate, but the strip also seemed to make light of the deaths of American service members, which is not.”

That was the entire point of the strip, that Bush made light of the deaths of American soldiers by challenging Iraqi dissidents to continue killing them. It is not McGruder who should be reprimanded. It is Bush.
