The terminal at Midway Airport was evacuated Saturday night after a woman walked past a security checkpoint, said police spokesman Matthew Jackson.
The airport terminal was shut down around 8:20 p.m. after the security breach, as officials tried to find the woman, said Monique Bond of the city Aviation Department.
The hourlong closing caused 12 flight delays, but operations resumed even though the woman wasn’t found, Bond said.
