Scene Stealers: A new variety showcase for all ages to enjoy. Directors Chris Kurzer and Paul LeVan have cast some of the area’s talent for a night of fun, and entertainment, with parodies of pop culture. 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets: $10.
September
Conversation with Thomas Jefferson: Lively commentary from the third president, as portrayed by radio personality and scholar Clay Jenkinson. 7:30 p.m. Sept. 5. Tickets: $50, $40, $30.
David Holt: Three-time Grammy winner for folk music. 7 p.m. Sept. 18. Tickets: $12, $10.

“Nothin’ Up My Sleeve”: Billed as some of “the Midwest’s greatest magicians and entertainers.” Part of the Johnny Appleseed Festival. 3 and 7 p.m. Sept. 27. Tickets: $16, $13.

“Defending the Caveman”: Rob Becker’s long-running comedy about differences between genders. 6 and 9 p.m. Oct. 11. Tickets: $50, $45.
Illinois Storytelling Festival—Halloween Hair Raisers: The state’s best storytellers will take the stage for ghost stories and chilling tales. 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30. Tickets: $13, $11.
November
“Spirit of the Dance”: Dubbed “the world’s greatest Irish dance show.” 3 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 1. Tickets: $51, $46.
“On Golden Pond”: The acclaimed Broadway production, starring Jack Klugman. 3 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8. Tickets: $47, $42.
Robert Tree Cody and Guests: Cody is a Native American singer, storyteller and dancer. He performs both solo and with his band Crossroads. 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15. Tickets: $24, $19.

Laughter Arts Festival: With Harry Anderson from the TV show “Night Court” and stand-up comic Bobcat Goldthwait. 6 and 9 p.m. Jan. 17. Tickets: $40, $35.
“Giselle”: The Berkshire Ballet Theatre will perform one of the great story ballets. 9 p.m. Jan. 24 and 4 p.m. Jan. 25. ickets: $18, $16.
February
“Miss Nelson is Missing”: A musical about a good-natured teacher who disappears and is replaced by Viola Swamp, a feared substitute. Presented by the Omaha Theater Co., based on the award-winning book by Harry Allard. 3 p.m. Feb. 7. Tickets: $15, $12.
Coasters, Platters and Drifters: Three of the “Giants of Doo-Wop,” who have sold a combined 260 million records. 3 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14. Tickets: $36, $31.
