Bernice Ruth Ottow, nee Signorella, 84, of Centerville, OH, formerly of Chicago, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2003. Graduate in nursing from Loyola University Chicago in 1940 and worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years. Served as a volunteer for Dayton area organizations including St. Leonard-St. Elizabeth Senior Network, The University of Dayton Mother’s Club, and actively supported Centerville Youth Music Programs. She is the daughter of the late Lucy and Umberto Paul Signorella; preceded in death by her husband Milton C. Ottow; survived by a loving daughter Elsie Lou Suhr (James) of Centerville, OH; siblings John Signorella, Connie Adamson, Marjorie Bodnar, Andrew Paul Signorella (Dorie), Martha Hulsman and Lillian Scarpelli (Frank); grandchildren James Suhr, Rebecca and Kathlene West (Philip) all of Springboro, OH; greatgrandchildren Stephanie, Alan and James Suhr and Emily and Jonathan West; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday, 9:30 a.m. from Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St., Roselle (3/4 Mile west of Bloomingdale Rd.) to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Melrose Park, for 10:30 a.m. Mass.
