Rick Morrissey was probably the one who messed with Roy Smalley’s arm, when some of his throws from shortstop to first ended up in the press box. If that hadn’t happened the Cubs could have traded Smalley to the Cardinals for Ernie Broglio, and we could have held on to Lou Brock.
