I watched the Cubs game on WGN last week, and I found Ozzy Osbourne’s rendition of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” to be a disgrace to the Cubs organization and major league baseball. The sports announcer said it was “great.” I hardly agree. It ranks right up there with Roseanne Barr’s crotch-grabbing performance of the “Star Spangled Banner.” Why do we make a celebrity out of such a dysfunctional man? What kind of message are we sending to the youthful baseball fans?
