There used to be a time when baseball rain delays lasted no more than two hours. Games were then postponed out of consideration for the fans and players. But on Labor Day, the Cubs’ 4-hour, 15-minute rain delay–followed by a game played with relatively few fans still present–demonstrated what matters now: money.

The Cubs should be ashamed of this blatant demonstration of their corporate greed.
